Immersion announces that it has been selected to join the Academy for the Economy of Tomorrow, a course offered by French Tech Bordeaux and funded by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.

French Tech Bordeaux, with the support of the 6 French Tech communities in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region (French Tech Poitou-Charentes, French Tech Limousin, French Tech Périgord, French Tech Lot-et-Garonne, French Tech Pau-Béarn, French Tech Pays Basque), has decided to take action across the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, mobilizing its business ecosystem around environmental issues.

Immersion is one of the 13 companies selected.

Immersion is convinced that it needs to step up its game on these issues, and was very receptive to this initiative by French Tech Bordeaux, a network and ecosystem to which the company has belonged since its creation, and in which it recognizes itself.

The company is approaching this journey with humility and energy, to continue its awareness of the environmental challenges facing the digital sector, to study where it can have the greatest impact, and to build an approach that will enable it to take part in the construction of a more sustainable future.

What does the Academy for the Economy of Tomorrow course involve?

French Tech Bordeaux reminds us that recent years have been marked by a succession of crises that have profoundly changed the way we see the world. Between the global pandemic, growing social mobilizations, geopolitical conflicts, climate change and the depletion of natural resources, our planet is going through a period of unprecedented turbulence.

This unstable, ever-changing global context suggests a future in which tensions could become even more acute. We now live in an increasingly uncertain world, where every change, whether social, economic or environmental, seems to bring its own set of new challenges.

That’s why French Tech Bordeaux has launched the Académie pour l’Economie de Demain project.

This project is funded by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region as part of the ACTE – Accompagnement au Changement en Faveur des Transitions Environnementales – call for projects.

Its aim is to develop a program for business leaders in the technology and innovation sector in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. This program aims to mobilize them around the challenges of the ecological transition. Through a series of modules, participants will work on defining their roadmap and business model, integrating the elements of transformation needed to adapt to tomorrow’s environmental and economic challenges.

From December 2024 to June 2025, companies will be able to:

  • Benefit from feedback from companies already involved.
  • Understand the challenges of climate, carbon, life and biodiversity, and risk management from a business perspective;
  • Work on their company’s roadmap to integrate transition issues;
  • Carry out a personalized diagnostic on energy, digital sobriety, mobility, waste management, CSR, etc;
  • Meet with transition financing players;
